He is the Co-Head of the Cambridge Regulatory Innovation Hub and Lead in Regulation at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance. His expertise is in the design and implementation of innovation initiatives including innovation offices, regulatory sandboxes, and digital sandboxes. He also worked at the Financial Conduct Authority in London for over a decade.
He is the Head of Taxonomy Development at RegGenome, a company spun out from the University of Cambridge to commercialize technologies for making regulatory texts machine-readable. He has also been the Head of Content Operations at a London-based regtech startup and before that a regulator with the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority.
He is the founder of MicroEnsure, a global leading insurtech company providing insurance to over 64 million people in 12 countries across Africa and Asia. He also founded Wavu, a consultancy focused on creating digital insurance products for the masses. Through Wavu, he works with the team at ARK Venture Studio where he helped established Migrasure, the world’s first insurer dedicated to the needs of vulnerable migrants
